OK, I know the title of this post is a tad dramatic, but I do feel like we just resurrected something from the dead – my relaunched, redesigned website!
It started with having too much time on my hands as I recovered from my Boobal Removal (and no, it ain’t too late to donate to my Avon team and win a TV – thanks for asking/remembering!). I was keeping myself busy, and I realized how out-of-control my site had gotten. Don’t get me wrong – I looooooved my site, possibly a little too much. When I did the math and realized it was designed in the fall of 2009, when I only offered 1 (1!) coaching package! That was it! I mean, the last site was all about guiding the visitor to learn about coaching/me, booking that 1 package of sessions or scheduling a consultation call. Now, I have 4 workbooks, gift certificates, a Clubhouse, 3 coaching packages (4 if you count what I give my Grads!)…and I speak and will be a published author soon (The Declaration of You will be out in June!)…even though I still loved the look of the site, I knew it wasn’t as functional as it needed to be in the here and now.
I reached out to my original site designer Bekky Pollock on June 18th. Pretty amazeballs that she delivered a final PDF (of every page of the site!) to me on August 2nd. While I hired a developer to code and load everything, it was slower than I had anticipated, and my launch date kept being pushed back and back and back and back. Eventually I had to call in The Troops (aka my trusty Virtual Wizard, Arwyn, and a current client/Clubhouser o’ mine, Roz) to take over before my head exploded in frustration (I’m a native New Yorker, and we’re not known for our patience).
Roz and Arwyn are literally The Dream Team, because when I went to bed last night with the old site…:
…I woke up to the new:
