It has been *such* a huge pleasure to work with Ana Maria Tromp for the past 6 months in my current Build Your Client Base mastermind, and I can’t wait to introduce her to you! A mom of 2 with a full-time job, she had every excuse to cast her business aspirations aside, especially when Covid hit. But none of that would stop her from re-launching Coach & Bounce, her coaching practice for overwhelmed, overachieving women. I know you’ll learn so much from her!
Why did you decide to work with me?
I had been following you for a couple of months. Every blog I read was exactly what I needed at that time. It felt like the problem you solve was exactly the problem I was having. On a personal level, I felt in sync with your honesty around how you build your business and your no 6-figure in a week message. You seemed to include fun in the equation of building a successful business, and after a year of running a business on stress and procrastination I knew that joy and fun were missing in the equation.
What were you doing work-wise when we started working together – and what are you doing now?
I was working full time and building a coaching practice at the same time. I am still doing this, but I am a step closer to having my website ready and launching my coaching program. Therefore, I feel more confident than ever before that my business is evolving and on the right path.
What was your biggest takeaway from our work together?
That I need to step out of my own way. This is my third group program. No matter how much support I am receiving from our work together, most of the time I am holding myself back and not taking actions because I am afraid of so many things—most of all of being out there. Being in this intimate group of amazing women in Build Your Client Base, all in a different phase of building our businesses, and receiving great support, has taught me that I have everything I need to succeed yet I am the one who needs to stop holding back and make it happen.
Think of someone who is currently in the shoes you wore when we first started working together. What advice do you have for her?
It all starts with you believing in yourself and what you have to offer. Trust that you are exactly where you need to be in your journey to build a successful business—please stop comparing yourself to others. Start taking the next (little) step that will get you closer to your goals.
Is there anything that’s been a game-changer for you when it comes to your business that you can share? We’d love a good resource or a mindset/productivity tip!
What I have been doing lately is setting goals per quarter, which is also part of Build Your Client Base. And within the quarterly planning I choose a maximum of 3 things that I would like to achieve and then describe little steps to make it happen. This makes everything manageable and achievable. It also offers you the possibility to adjust as you go if needed, like when a pandemic hits the world.
