The Grown Up Gigs Recording (just this once!)

It’s been an entire 36 hours, and I’m still high from the fun that was the premiere of my Grown Up Gigs “show”! Megan Collins and I had such a big-time blast talking about:

• how she was picked up by a syndicated wire and got featured in GQ
• what “counts” as networking (and how to make it less torturous)
• the falsity around “overnight” success stories 
• learning to say No 
• how getting laid off was the best thing that could have happened to her
• working with me
• having an “And” career
• how she makes money from her blog
• her worst/lowest moment (and how she dug herself out)
• how she changes her mindset to get out of the Why Me?! loop
• how to own being an “expert” (even if you have no direct schooling or experience in what you set out to do, and especially if you’re a woman)
• setting consistent & realistic goals

It was an action-packed, laughter-filled, inspiration-inducing, educationally-amazeballs hour thanks to everyone who joined us live & asked such fab questions (you know who you are).

Just this once, I’m gonna be posting the recording here on my blog. Going forward (they’ll be 2 shows/month for the foreseeable future), they’ll “live” in my VIP Library. Everyone who’s a VIP (which ya can be by signing up here) will be able to access all the recordings to date through their library link. However, because I send my VIPs something juicy every week, and I don’t wanna overload ‘em with specific reminders about the next show and then another one when the recording’s up, I created another list for those that wanna be tapped on the shoulder and get those Grown Up Gigs-specific reminders. I thought it would be good to record the entire Vokle screen so you could see the chat in real time…but I’ve learned now that it’s all too tiny to make out! So know that, in the future, VIPs’ll get a recording of just me + the guest as well as a link to an MP3 of the show.
