Tough (Question) Tuesday: How are you being supported?
We May Not Have It All Together but Together We Have It All by Kari Machal Designs
Last week, I received over $3300 in donations for my Avon Team in a 48 hour period (!!!).
Every month, I get together with a group of gutsy, smart, funny, sweet, Brooklyn-based creative (aspiring and full-time) entrepreneurs to catch-up, ask questions, exchange resources, and get feedback on our ideas and offerings.
At least every two months, I have a coaching or consulting call to talk about my business goals and untangle what’s in my head and get my action steps down on paper (yes, life coaches have life coaches too!).
Every day, I hear from at least a handful of people to ask how I’m feeling and/or tell me they’re sending good thoughts my way.
Multiple times a day, I hear “I love you.” Less often but still pretty damn frequently, I hear, “I believe in you”, “You’re amazing”, and “You’re beautiful” (yes, my husband is the ultimate support for me).
How are you being supported?
Can’t wait to hear about it in the comments!

I love that you brought up getting business support–I have a tribe that meets for a conference call every other week, and it's been so invaluable to me. I don't even need to have anything on the agenda, personally. It's just so helpful to know that I'm not alone in the feelings, struggles, and celebrations that come up as we run our businesses–not to mention how great it is to get feedback on an offering, pricing structure, sales page, help with marketing, etc.
Yes yes yes, Kate! I like how you brought up that there doesn’t need to be an agenda (my group doesn’t have one either) – we just bring ourselves, our listening ears, our ideas, our goals, and our challenges. It’s all “enough.”
I also have a husband who is my ultimate support! It means so much to have someone cheering you on like that every day! Right now I am also thankful for my two supportive bosses. There are some crazy things going on at work right now (the kind of thing that makes me think "Why do I do this job???") and I would never get through if I didn't know that they were behind me one hundred percent. And then there is the group of ladies I get together with once a week – we gather to learn together and pray for each other, we laugh together, encourage each other, and carry each other through the rough times.
I'm so thankful you brought this up today, Michelle – sometimes it's nice to be reminded of just how much support you have!
It *does* help to be married to someone so supportive. I know people can still do it without a partner like that, but I have a feeling it’s a billion times harder! Love hearing that you have the opposite of Horrible Bosses – seriously, it makes *such* a difference when you’re dealing with crazy rules or a bureaucracy or whatnot – and YAY for the weekly ladies group! No wonder you’re doing such amazeballs things, Miss Andi
my hubby and Mom are amazingly supportive to me. My hubby makes it possible for me to have holidays that go along with school holidays (and we have lots) and he's extremely awesome. This gives me time to follow my other loves and manage my health. Mom gives me support by attending health appointments with me and talking me through things when I am upset, tired or frustrated. I am truly blessed. Thank you for sharing about your gratitude. Support is so vital for success, however you define it. xxx
